The area
Algorfa, golf and calm in the Vega Baja
Algorfa is a peaceful municipality in the Vega Baja del Segura, in the south of the province of Alicante, surrounded by market gardens and orange groves. Its best-known residential area is built around La Finca Golf, an 18-hole course with homes, landscaped green spaces and its own amenities. The climate is dry and sunny with very mild winters, and a settled international community lives alongside the village's traditional way of life.
The beaches of Guardamar del Segura and Torrevieja are around 15 minutes away by car, and Alicante-Elche Airport around 35-40 minutes via the AP-7. Several golf courses, shopping centres and healthcare services are found nearby. Algorfa appeals to those seeking a relaxed life by the fairways, with the coast just minutes away and a quieter residential atmosphere than the beachfront.
